Altamura is a little village in Puglia, Italy long known for its delicious breads. As a matter of fact, in 37 BC, Horace, a Roman author, tasted Altamura bread and falling in love with its unique taste, wrote in his personal journal that he thought this was where “the best breads in the world” were produced.
